This innovative project, implemented by Stron Engineering for Kamlit KZ in Kostanay, represents a modern high-tech industrial complex. The facility serves as a key element of an integrated foundry cluster, ensuring a continuous technological production chain.
Technological cycle and integration
The Main Gear Production Plant (MGP) operates in close integration with the foundry facility. The technological process is organized according to the principle of seamless production:
- Incoming workpieces: Cast components and high-quality castings are transferred directly from the foundry facility to the MGP building.
- Full processing cycle: Inside the building (208 × 153 m), all stages of final product manufacturing are concentrated — from precision stamping and complex CNC machining to heat treatment (hardening) and phosphating sections.
- Assembly and quality control: The final stage includes robotic assembly of units and strict quality control, enabling the production of up to 74,000–76,000 main gear units per year.
Engineering solutions and microclimate
Advanced engineering systems were implemented to maintain optimal operating conditions for equipment and ensure personnel comfort:
- Heating and ventilation: The project uses high-performance equipment from Teplovey. Air heating systems and supply-and-exhaust ventilation provide efficient heat exchange and maintain the required microclimate parameters within the massive production facility volume (more than 284,000 m³).
- Energy efficiency: The heating system complex is synchronized with the thermal insulation properties of the TSP Z 150 sandwich panels, minimizing heat loss in the harsh climatic conditions of Kostanay.
Architectural and space-planning solutions
A distinctive feature of the project is the integrated two-story administrative and amenity building (AAB) measuring 183 × 10 m.
- Zoning: The production area includes logistics hubs, machining sections, and assembly areas. The administrative and amenity building (AAB) is equipped with management offices, technological bureaus, a medical station, and a conference hall.
Structural characteristics
- Walls: Sandwich panels with mineral wool insulation in accordance with GOST 32603-2012.
- Foundation: Monolithic reinforced concrete pedestal-type pile cap foundation.
- Roofing: Flat membrane roofing system LOGICROOF V-RP with internal drainage.
- Glazing: Aluminum systems by TATPROF and interior partitions by NAYADA.
Innovations: The use of BIM technologies made it possible to seamlessly integrate robotic production lines and the engineering systems of Teplovey into a unified digital model, eliminating clashes and ensuring the successful commissioning of the facility. The project serves as a benchmark for industrial synergy and automation in Kazakhstan
